Mr. Saadeddine Hariri strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the port city of Jouniyeh on Friday night, injuring about 25 people and causing severe damage to the St. John Church and the Al-Mahaba radio station. Mr. Hariri said the blast was part of an attempt to terrorize the Lebanese and prevent them from recovering following the assassination of martyred Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.

Mr. Hariri stressed, in a statement, that such crimes will not thwart Lebanese resolve to pursue their path towards unity and change, which began on March 14- when more than a million Lebanese marched in downtown Beirut. He said regardless of attempts by those harmed to derail the drive through planting bombs, the Lebanese will achieve their goals of building a secure, just and fair state for all.
