Mr. Saad Rafic Hariri visited this morning Ulema Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah at his residence in Haret Hreik. The meeting which lasted for one hour was attended by MP Ghazi Youssef.
After the meeting, Mr. Hariri said: “We came to meet his eminence and salute him. We discussed the issue of national unity, and everybody knows his stance on this issue and its importance for him and for all of us. It is the basis in our policies.
His eminence always looks for ways to cement the national unity and the unity of all Lebanese. We also discussed the Islamic unity which completes the national unity. His eminence is a moderate person.”
Question: Is it true that the dialogue continues with General Michel Aoun in order to include some of his candidates, and how could this happen with the closure of Beirut and Chouf lists?
Mr. Hariri: The dialogue didn’t stop. It is always open with General Aoun and we converse with him. By God’s will, we will reach an agreement with him on all issues.
