Head of the Future bloc in Parliament MP Saad Rafic Hariri expressed solidarity with US President George W. Bush and the American people following a devastating hurricane that hit the US Gulf Coast on Monday, killing hundreds and leaving a trail of destruction behind. In a letter to the US President, MP Hariri offered his condolences to President Bush and the American people for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

On behalf of the Lebanese people and his legislative bloc in Parliament, Mr. Saad said the Lebanese stand with the Americans at this difficult time, just as the Americans supported the Lebanese in the ongoing process of regaining their independence and liberty.

MP Hariri voiced confidence that the Americans will overcome this catastrophe as they have always prevailed through unity and solidarity.
