Head of the Future bloc in Parliament MP Saad Rafic Hariri congratulated the new Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, for his appointment as leader of Kuwait, and highlighted the strong friendship and bonds with the new Emir and the Kuwaiti people. MP Hariri vowed to work with the Emir and the Kuwaitis to defend Arab causes and interests.

MP Hariri recalled the strong support that Kuwait and its new Emir played in ending Lebanon’s 1975-1990 war and the country’s reconstruction, as part of Arab efforts. He also praised the Emir’s backing for Lebanon, and pointed out that assassinated Prime Minister Rafic Hariri enjoyed strong bonds with the Emir, and always saw him as a distinguished Arab figure who is a source of hope for Kuwaitis.

On his behalf, and behalf of the Future Movement and the Future parliamentary bloc, MP Hariri pledged to pursue strong ties with the Emir and Kuwaitis to advance Arab interests.
