Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and Deputy Russian Foreign Minister and Middle East envoy Mr. Alexander Sultanov held talks, for the second time during the Russian diplomats’ current trip to Beirut, on developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as Russian-Lebanese relations.

Mr. Sultanov told reporters at the Prime Minister designate’s residence in Beirut Central District that they discussed the situation in the region and Russia’s contribution to ‘normalizing’ them. Asked about Russian military aid to Lebanon, the Russian official said there will be ‘good news’ soon.
