FULFILLMENT OF A PROMISING HOPE
AND A PROSPEROUS FUTURE
"My incentive for setting up
the Hariri Foundation was grounded in the belief that the
universities and institutions of higher learning in Lebanon admit
students with hidden talents and skills. And since man is the wealth
of the country, I feel that the best way to build Lebanon is through
man's educational and cultural development and the realization of
his hidden talents."
With these words, the former
prime minister set out his main objective in establishing the Hariri
Foundation and specified the parameters and the scope of its
activities. His supreme goal is the development of man's
potentialities, and the place where this can be accomplished is the
field of education in its different branches.
The inability of thousands of
Lebanese families to meet the cost of their children's university
education no longer stood in the way of their development because
the Hariri Foundation covered those expenses, thus making their
dreams become reality.
